VISIONARY ART EXHIBITION

In May 2013 I started a new website VISIONARY ART EXHIBITION to showcase outstanding artists and individual works from our private network, to supplement our VISIONARY ART GALLERY.

The reason is mainly that the parent site was bursting at the seams, but also to have more space for blogs, such as ARCHAIC VISIONS, DREAMS & DIVINITIES and the VISIONARY COMMUNITY BLOG.

In the section FEATURED ARTWORK we regularly present the best works of our members and occasionally those from our other site, the VISIONARY HALL OF FAME

You are invited to visit and browse a great collection of works from our genre FEATURED ARTWORK, but also very interesting blogs and other features not mentioned here.

Visionary Art Exhibition - Zoom Gallery

At our VISIONARY ART EXHIBITION site

we are happy to announce that we incorporated a new app to zoom images.

ZOOM GALLERY

Currently there are only a few examples - but there will be more to follow soon!

I am trying out this new app - the page is under construction. After some tinkering, I came up with the right page design how to best present selections of outstanding art from our members of the private Visionary Art Network. This is in addition to our regular FEATURED ARTWORK: with over 500 member artists there are now (as of today) 13,936 photos uploaded, most of which are artwork, and the majority of it (that has been set for public view) is presented on the artists respective pages in embedded slide-shows at the VISIONARY ART GALLERY, our parent site.

As the network grew from initially a handful of members, it became necessary to spin off a site where we could showcase outstanding individual works as well as present exciting blogs by guest writers from our membership - Dreams & Divinities and Archaic Visions - and also feature important exhibitions and links to associated sites such as The Society for Art of Imagination and the Visionary Art Network Australia (to mention only a few - this category is growing as well).

Another spin-off website is our VISIONARY ART HALL OF FAME - as it grew it became necessary to present it as a separate site. This site is also under development. It features pioneer artists as well as a selection of historical artists considered important to our community.

One of my future projects on the drawing board is a remake of our parent site, the Visionary Art Gallery  with an updated template. I am currently trying different test versions. There are problems with migrating features that are unique to the current template, so it will be necessary to adjust and re-design all the individual artist pages and other featured pages one by one.

Ning Platform down - and no support!

OK, here is a conversation I was having just at this moment on the Ning Facebook page:
The entire platform is down across the board, and get this: their support and their help e.mail is all on that platform! There is no way you can reach them, there are no updates on either their Facebook page or their Twitter account.   Of course our Visionary Art Network is affected by this - the public pages depend on the feeds from the private network we have on the Ning platform!

You are down across the board - any comments on that?

Otto Rapp they just don't give a damn - there is NO SUPPORT - Nothing! They have a twitter account that is NOT MAINTAINED!https://twitter.com/Ning at all, and their own support of course is down as well, since they put all their eggs into one basket, and that basket is broken! There is no way you can reach them!

Otto Rapp Their support (I checked my e-mails for that) is also hosted on the Ning platform, so you can't even reach them via e-mail! We are truly dealing with some moronic system here: who would tie ALL their services, support and everything else to ONE platform?

Otto Rapp Refund? You must be dreaming! I asked about that already when they had Error 500 issues! No answer. This is a one-way street: they take your money very punctually though, service or not!
